About Me

My photo
Let's see, I'm a single, 39 year old 5'2-ish pinoy who worked with kids for the 14 years and I was pretty good at it. I am now working in a totally different area away from kids and it's awesome. Anyways, for fun I listen to music, draw, play video games, watch movies, hang with friends, surf the internet, go skydiving, and write down my thoughts, which I call Yodaisms. I'm pretty much a quiet, laid back dude once you get to know me and that's pretty much it, so have fun reading my thoughts. Take care and peace out!

Chuck Vs. The Bulletproof Monk

[The episode begins around 1995 in the mountains of Tibet at the Temple of Sublime Truth and inside you see a young woman being trained by her master. When the camera pans to a close up of her face you see it’s a Sarah. You see she is in the middle of what seems to be a battle between teacher and student on tall pillars above a back abyss leading to the unknown. The weapons of choice are two thandas (long bamboo sticks) and after a lengthy battle, the student gets the upper hand on the teacher. After few moments you see student and teacher walking side by side having a discussion as they drink butter tea]
Master Kojima: [smiling at Sarah]When I first met you, I could see you were undisciplined without any balance or direction not only in your heart, but also in your mind as well.
Sarah: [looks at Master Kojima]What do you see now master?
Master Kojima: [grins]A young woman with discipline…[cut to Sarah smiling]…but still there is no balance or direction still in your heart or mind.[cut back to Sarah with a confused look]Once you find that balance…you will have one complete life instead of 2 lives that are incomplete.
Sarah: [looks down and than at Master Kojima]I am complete…joining the C.I.A. gave me the balance, as well as, the direction that I was missing and sorely needed, which I wasn’t getting before I became a spy.
Master Kojima: Giving up your true self for a life that brings only pain, misery, and heartache is not a life to live.
Sarah: It’s the life I chose master and aren’t we all searching for balance in life?
Master Kojima: [puts hand on Sarah’s shoulder]Ah young one…that is your mistake for you see the balance you seek will come when you least expect it leading you to be fully complete.
[cut to Sarah and Master Kojima stopping to face each other as the sun is setting in the background]
Sarah: [curious look]I don’t understand.
Master Kojima: [nodding]You will in due time.
Sarah: Master…of the many agents that “The Omaha Project” sent to you why do you have a vested interest in me?
Master Kojima: It’s not a matter of asking why, but accepting a much greater plan that is pre-destined for you. We all have a role to play in the universe and I am here to simply guide you to a path of true enlightenment. [looks straight ahead and then at Sarah grinning] It’s up to you my child to choose a path that holds a far greater purpose to believe in.
Sarah: [bows] Yes master.
Master Kojima: [points finger in the air]One more thing…in order to attain a complete inner balance you will travel a path seeking ultimate knowledge and while on your journey you will experience enlightenment unlike any other. Remember these words I say to you: The balance within your heart will be encountered in a place that is considered to be an angelic city within colors of jade. The balance you seek will be able defeat one’s enemies while cranes circle above. To establish the balance you seek you must willingly free yourself of weak links from the past with the help of strong links in the future.
Sarah: [bows]I will…T'oo-Je-Che *Tibetan for Thank You*
[Cut to Sarah giving him a necklace leading you to then see Sarah and Master Kojima bowing to each other then turning to look at the sunset inevitably leading both of them going back to sipping their butter tea. The scene gradually switches to the present on a Thursday night where you see Sarah holding her gold locket between her fingers looking out the window of her hotel room as the sun rises in the distance. She smiles as all three of the questions that Master Kojima gave her to answer long ago were answered and they came in the form of Chuck. Flashing back you see it was Chuck who she met in the City of Angels Los Angeles, California within the jadish colors of Buy More. It was Chuck who defeated Zarnow in a helicopter as there were cranes were under, around, as well as, above him. Finally, it was Chuck that made her realize there was no future with Bryce and when it came to his family they gave her something that she knows in her heart is something truly real…a strong sense of belonging. The scene ends with Sarah receiving a phone call on her cell and when she answers its Director Graham on the other end informing her of yet another mission. You then see her hang up, look out the window one last time, walk over to her bed, grabs her belongings, and heads out to the door heading towards Casey’s apartment. Cue Chuck intro]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins at Casey’s apartment where you see Chuck, Sarah, and Casey as General Beckman and Director Graham on screen in the middle of a discussion with Team Chuck. A picture comes on screen leading chuck to flash as he sees images of the golden statue of Buddha, mercenaries, an organization called HRO, and the name Hendrik Strucker, and the image of the golden statue of Buddha again. He snaps out of leading him to speak]
Chuck: [snaps out of it]: Hendrik Strucker…a former decorated German soldier now turned mercenary. He was hired by an elitist group known as the HRO or otherwise known as the Holy Republic Organization. They believe that in order to achieve spiritual oneness with the universe they must eliminate those who are truly unenlightened.
Casey: [serious look]A bunch of crackpots is what their called.
Beckman: [looks at Casey]Those aforementioned crackpots Agent Casey have at their disposal a ruthless cold blooded killer and as you can see/read for yourself…[cut to Team Chuck reading Strucker’s file and looking at pictures of his handiwork]…he’s good. Whatever you do don’t underestimate him…he’s an expert in several different kinds of martial arts and as you can see here…[clip of surveillance video pop up]…not even 15 armed security guards could take him down.
Sarah: [looks at Graham]Who is his target?
Beckman: According to our intel, it’s The Dali Llama who is visiting the Odiyan Buddhist Center in Sonoma County, California. His purpose for being there is 3 days of deep meditation before he speaks in front of a mass audience at the Staple Center concerning the 33th Anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day on March 12th, 2008.
Sarah: [serious look]What are our orders?
Graham: You’re orders are to rendezvous the day before his arrival with one of our contacts…someone who closely worked with C.I.A in the past who now works within the facility will provide you three with the necessary materials to access every part of the monastery.
Sarah: And our cover?
Graham: Potential students who are interested in the teachings of Buddhism. Trying to understand how your own mind works and even though you’re not asked to believe you're asked to discover something for yourself. Essentially, it's an individual pursuit guided by tradition
Chuck: [chimes in]Do we have to shave our heads for this assignment?
[cut to everybody looking at Chuck]
Beckman: You have your orders[screen turns off]
[You see everybody walking off with Chuck standing there asking again if shaving their head is needed for the assignment leading him to walk off screen calling out to Sarah. The scene switches to Casa Bartowski where you see Chuck packing and after several minutes you see Ellie enter his room as she knocks on the door. Ellie leads in conversation]
Ellie: [looks at Chuck]Where are you going little brother?
Chuck: [looks at Ellie]Sarah and I are going away for the weekend for some alone time. Away from the city, work responsibilities, and…
Ellie: Morgan?
[cut to Chuck reluctantly nodding leading Awesome to enter the room]
Awesome: [smiles at Chuck]Chuck, I just heard you’re taking your lady away for the weekend. That is…[cut to Chuck expecting say the word]…spectacular.
[just then Morgan comes climbing through the window]
Morgan: [looks at Chuck, his bags, and then goes on a rant]Dude…you’re moving in with Sarah already? I see…you tell your sister, future brother-in-law, but not your best friend. I’m hurt…betrayed even.
Chuck: [stops Morgan and holds his face tightly between his hands]Morgan…look at me...I’m just going away for the weekend with Sarah. I’ll be back Sunday…Monday at the latest. In the meantime, I’m putting you in charge tomorrow…so don’t let me down. I’m counting on you and Anna to keep Jeff and Lester in line for me?
Morgan: [salutes with his face still between Chuck’s hands]El Capitan, you have my word your ship will still be afloat when you get back.
Chuck: [grins and lets go of Morgan]Good…my dad will be there to back you up. Oh, I also gave Casey the weekend off because of personal reasons?
Morgan: [looks around]What…he’s finally going to have surgery to remove the stick up his butt?
[cut to Casey walking by the window giving a loud grunt causing Morgan to flinch. The scene switches from Chuck’s room to Casey, Sarah, and Chuck arriving at the monastery the next morning looking around awaiting their contact. After several minutes they hear a voice coming from behind them and when they look he is hidden in the shadows leading the mystery person to speak up]
Unknown person: Water that is too pure…
[cut to Casey and Chuck looking at each other utterly confused]
Sarah: [chimes in] has no fish
[The scene ends with the mystery person steps out of the shadows leading Sarah to smile and then bow as she sees her former teacher Master Kojima stand before her]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins with Chuck and Casey being introduced by Sarah to her teacher Master Kojima. Cut to Casey bowing and then to Chuck who gets into a bowing/handshake situation with Master Kojima. Sarah leads in the conversation]
Sarah: [smiling]Master Kojima…are you our contact?
Master Kojima: [looks at Sarah]The question you ask has already been answered.
Casey: [looks at Kojima]What? Just answer the question…are you our contact or not?
Master Kojima: [looks at Casey] The hand of a friend is far greater than fist of an enemy.
Casey: [gives a low growl, walks over and is about to put his hands on Master Kojima]Enough with this fortune cookie crap.
Chuck: [looks at Casey]Casey..buddy?
[cut to Casey grabbing his robe and before you know it Casey is on one knee with his right arm straight out and his right hand not only being bend bak, but also being pushed up]
Sarah: [walks up and bows] Koo-Soo day-bo yin-pay? *How are you*
Master Kojima: [looking at Sarah while he has Casey down]Nga day-bo yin *I am fine*
Sarah: [smiles]Its good to see you Master.
Master Kojima: And I you young one.
Sarah: [points at Chuck]That is Chuck…[looks down at Casey]…and that man you currently have on his knee is my partner Casey.
[Cut to Kojima letting go of Casey’s hand leading him to shake off and massage his right hand]
Master Kojima: It is an honor to meet you. Come…after a long journey you must be famished.
[cut to Master Kojima escorting everybody in and then the scene slowly moves to later that evening in the dining area where you see all 4 of them being served an authentic Tibetan meal]
Master Kojima: [looks at Chuck]So you are the this extraordinary man that has abilities unlike any other.
Chuck: [grins]Yeah…I’m just a guy trying to help save the world, even if nobody knows about it.
Master Kojima: My son…every man’s life concerns every other man, especially if he’s on the noble path to true enlightenment.
Chuck: I get your point
Casey: [massaging his hand]No you don’t....idiot.
[cut to Chuck looking at Casey and then looking down at his food]
Master Kojima: Chuck…Is something wrong?
Chuck: No disrespect…but I don’t think I can eat this. Do you have hot dogs or something?
[cut to Casey Sarah and Casey giving him a look]
Master Kojima: [smiles]You must keep your body pure and not eat any creatures that were once living.
Chuck: So no hot dogs then?
Master Kojima: [grins]Instead of feeding your stomach, mentally feed on this: Why do hot dog buns come in packages of ten, but hot dog buns only come in packages of eight?
Chuck: [thinking]A question of the ages...I’m going to think about it and get back to you.
[cut to Master Kojima nodding]
Casey: [chimes in]You know…I don’t know which is worse…you two talking about hot dogs and hot dog buns with Confucius over there or listening to what type of sandwich you and Morgan would take on a deserted island.
Master Kojima: [looks at Casey]Mr. Casey…I apologize for our earlier meeting and I humbly ask your forgiveness for my transgression.
Casey: [smirks]Apology accepted[Cut to Master Kojima getting up, walking over to Casey, kneels beside him, takes out a bottle, opens it and starts applying a unknown ointment it to his right hand]Does that feel better?
Casey: [looks at his hand and then at Kojima]Yes it does. What is that stuff anyways?
Master Kojima: [holds up bottle]It’s a homemade remedy…[cut to Casey grinning as he’s smelling his hand]…made from my own urine.[walks away]
Chuck: That’s just wrong
[You then Sarah laughing under her breathe, Chuck moving away from Casey, and Casey looking at his hand covered in ointment that is made from Master Kojima’s urine. The scene ends as it cuts to an unknown maksed man running silently above the rooftops, then after a moment or two drops undetected inevitably slipping into the darkness. The scene ends when you cut to him within the shadows taking off his mask ultimately seeing the face of Hendrik Strucker]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins early the next day with a montage of clips as you see Sarah and Master Kojima in an exercise/training area of the monastery in the middle of a friendly sparring match similar to the one they both participated in several years ago. It’s goes back and forth to where Master Kojima ends up getting the upper hand this time. You can see on her face she’s disappointed and after several moments you see Sarah and Master Kojima walking side by side by the reflecting pools, as well as, flower gardens having a discussion. Master Kojima begins the conversation]
Master Kojima: I am pleased that you’re skills have improved.[cut to Sarah smiling and then Kojima stops to face her] However, you fight up here[taps her head]instead of here.[taps her heart]
Sarah: I know…its just that…
Master Kojima: [interrupts her]No excuses. Remember what I taught you…Feel your surroundings. For the air is as real as you and me. You have to step on it as if it were a stone, swim through it as if it were the sea. All you have to do is truly believe. Plus...lest you forget...its not about anger…its about peace. When it comes to your opponent…its not about power…it’s about grace. It’s not about knowing your enemy…
Sarah: [chimes in]Its about knowing yourself.[looks around] Yes…I never forgot that.
Master Kojima: [looks at Sarah]My child…I sense there is balance within you now and yet its not a fully complete balance at that. Does it concern the remarkable young man that attains the knowledge within his mind?
Sarah: [looks straight ahead]Yes master. It’s a complicated situation to explain.
Master Kojima: All situations are complicated, only if you make it to be. Has your journey led you to a path of opened enlightenment within your heart?
Sarah: [looks at Master Kojima]Yes it has…but it also has put me in danger of compromising myself and risking getting caught by my superiors. If they found out, I’ll be reassigned.
Master Kojima: [takes a deep breathe]The true danger lies not within the obstacles that lie before you but what lies beyond it that brings absolute happiness. For that happiness is the uniting of two souls…to opposites…that were meant to be.
[You see Sarah smiling as she takes those prophetic words to heart when another monk informs Kojima of The Dali Llama’s arrival. The scene switches several hours later in the a small monastery museum where you see Chuck admiring/looking at photos/posters on the wall leading him to stop at one that just mesmerizes him. It’s a picture of a soldier holding a gun to the head of a kneeling monk and as he takes it all in his concentration is broken in by a voice commenting on that same photo he’s looking at. When he turns to see who it is, its Hendrik Strucker]
Chuck: [looks at him and then at the picture as he tries to compose himself]Excuse me?
Strucker: If this is a place of peace, then why show the atrocities of man against man?
Chuck: [looks at picture]I think and this is just a guess mind you…they wanted to show that within the humanity of man there is a sober reality that needs to seen.
Strucker: What reality is that?
Chuck: [looks at Strucker]There is evil in the world.
Strucker: [gives a sinister look as he looks at the picture]I see it in a much different way than you do. What I see is a man’s time to die. No matter how much man tries to avoid death, he will eventually face his own mortality by someone who holds his life in the palm of his hands. That is the reality I see in that picture.
Chuck: [nervous tone] I guess we can simply agree to disagree.
Strucker: [points finger at the picture]Answer me this…when you look at this picture….deep down inside at the very bottom your soul who do you want to be? The one who is about to be shot or the one doing the shooting?[cut to an uncomfortable awkward silence leading to Strucker to look at his watch and speak again]Well..I better be going…I have an appointment to keep.
[cut to Strucker leaving leading Chuck to freak out and then calling Sarah on her cell. The scene ends with a close up of Chuck’s face as he just had a deep metaphorical conversation with a cold blooded killer]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins with Team Chuck including Master Kojima as they prepare for whatever Strucker has planned. Sarah and Casey walk off to talk with Beckman and Graham leaving Master Kojima and Chuck to talk. There is a momentary silence but then chuck speaks up]
Chuck: [looks at Kojima]I think I figured out the hot dog riddle.
Master Kojima: [looks at Chuck]Please…enlighten me.
Chuck: Well…the reason come hot dogs come in packages of 10…hot dog buns come in packages of 8…is that you will always need more buns for your hot dogs. In other words…no matter how much you get, how much you win, how much achieve, you’ll never let yourself feel content.
[cut to Master Kojima just looking at him]
Chuck: Well
Master Kojima: No
Chuck: Am I close?
Master Kojima: No
[you see a disappointed look on Chuck face leading to a short scene where you see Strucker on his lap top hacking into floor plans of the monastary and looking up the itinerary for the Dali Llama’s schedule. You then cut back to Chuck and Master Kojima as they see Casey and Sarah return after informing Beckman and Graham]
Casey: All right Bartowski…here’s the plan
Chuck: Does it involve me in any way staying the car because there is no car.
[cut to Casey giving a low growl]
Casey: [serious look] THE PLAN…is for you to say with Lo Si…
Sarah: [chimes in]His name is Master Kojima.
Casey: [looks at Chuck]Whatever Walker…you stay with him while Sarah and I track Strucker down before he gets to the Dali Llama.
[cut to Sarah and Casey heading out as Chuck and Master Kojima get better acquainted. There is awkward silence at first leading Chuck to take the initiative to break the ice]
Chuck:So, do you know pressure points that can kill a man?
[cut to Master Kojima looking at Chuck who is regretting he ever said what he just said]
Master Kojima: [looks at Chuck]I sense in you a past similar to that of my former student.
Chuck: Umm...yeah…well…we’re both connected to one person and his name was Bryce Larkin. He got me kicked out Stanford, stole my ex girlfriend, and to top it all off he ended up sending me images from a government supercomputer known as The Intersect, which have been downloaded into my brain. I always wondered what would have happened if I never opened that email he sent me.
Master Kojima: My son…the effects of man’s deeds upon man create consequences in past, present and future experiences For you alone are responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to them and others.
Chuck: Are you talking about Karma?
[cut to Master Kojima nodding]
Master Kojima: The acts of one’s man’s betrayal and mistrust from the past have consequently led to your present, as well as, future happiness.
Chuck: So what you’re saying is that through Bryce’s betrayal, he unknowingly gave me my freedom back?
Master Kojima: An unexpected gift as one steps out of the prison of a painful past while the other steps into the prison of self.
Chuck: Okay…this is some pretty heavy stuff. My head is starting to hurt.
Master Kojima: Come…Butter tea will help soothe the pain.
[The scene ends with Chuck and Master Kojima walking off and then seeing Casey and Sarah in search of Trucker who is somewhere in the area preparing to make his move]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins in the hall with the Dali Llama being led out by a security of 20 gaurds. After a while you see a smoke grenade being thrown in their vicinity leading to them surround the Dali Llama. All you see is white smoke and then you begin to hear voices, kicks, punches from within and when the smoke eventually clears you see security knocked out and Strucker standing there with a gas mask on holding a silencer to his head. The Dali Llama begins to speak]
Dali Llama: Those who hide behind masks are considered cowards. I would like to see the face of the man who holds my life in his hands.
Strucker: [taking off the gas mask, gives a sinister grin]Happy?
[Strucker is about to pull the trigger when Casey comes out of nowhere and tackles him to the ground causing not only Strucker to lose his weapon, but also a leads to an all out brawl to ensue. Sarah joins in the fray leading Casey to say something to her]
Casey: [looking back at Sarah] Don’t worry about me…get him out of here.
[The fight moves out of viewing range leaving Sarah checking on the Dali Llama to see if he’s allright. After several minutes he is eventually escorted to safety by another group of security. You then see Casey go toe to toe with Strucker getting a few blows in and yet its Strucker who looks to be too much for Casey as he’s been treated with a flurry of fast punches and kicks. Cut to Sarah arriving and aiming her weapon at Strucker but isn’t to get a clean shot because Casey is in the way. After awhile you see the setting switch to the exercise training area where you see the battle escalate. You see Casey struggle but isn’t giving up and that when Strucker starts to initiate pressures on certain areas of Casey’s body causing him to not move. Cut to Sarah who is sees her partner in a very bad way and the back to Strucker who seizes the opportunity to do away with his enemy]
Strucker: [breathing hard, looks at Sarah, and gives a sinister smile as he takes out another silencer from behind his back]Say so long to friend.
Sarah: [yells]NOOO!!!
[Just as he’s about to pull the trigger Master Kojima comes out of nowhere pushes him several feet away to the ground. He quickly turns around to counter the pressure points that Strucker did on Casey leading him to quickly fall to the ground. You then see Chuck run up to Casey who is being attended to by Sarah]
Chuck: [looks at Casey]You all right buddy.
Casey: [looks at Chuck]Do I look all right? I can’t feel my right leg or left arm. Several ribs are broken and I dislocated several fingers. [smirks] I consider those acceptable losses.
[cut to Chuck giving Casey a weird look]
Sarah: [looks at Casey]The feeling will come back eventually.[looks at Chuck]Stay with him.
Chuck: [looks at Sarah] Where are you going?
Sarah: [stands up and looks down]To help Kojima.
[Cut to Master Kojima and Strucker having a quick discussion as they circle back and forth]
Strucker: [in attack position]You shouldn’t have gotten involved old man.
Master Kojima: [in attack position]All life is valuable…even a life that brings much pain such as yours. I am a peaceful man...but you give me no choice.
Strucker: Save it for someone who cares…you and me old man.
Sarah: [standing by her master]And me.
Strucker: [taunting tone]Oh…the little girl wants to fight with the big boys.
Sarah: You try to kill my partner…now its payback.
Master Kojima: [looks at Sarah]Focus…remember know your surroundings, believe in yourself, and fight with your heart.[cut to Sarah nodding leading Strucker to chime in]
Strucker: Can we get on with this…you’re only stalling the inevitable.
[The scene ends with a stand off as you see Sarah, Master Kojima ready for the final battle to ensue as you see Chuck at the side of a beaten Casey]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins where it left off as you see Sarah/Master Kojima and Strucker circling each other. Sarah and Strucker throw down their weapons leading all three to walk over and grab several assorted weapons off the shelf. Sarah holds in her hands the thanda, Master Kojima takes the 3 handle nun chucks, and Strucker takes the combat staff.

After a second of silence the final battle begins. It starts out normal and then start turning into an unbelievable sight from Chuck’s point of view as if he’s watching a combination of the movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and The Matrix. In stunned amazement he sees Sarah performing uncanny moves that defy gravity along side her master as they double team Strucker.

When Sarah gets knocked down Master Kojima is right there on the attack giving time for Sarah to take a small rest. She does the same for Master Kojima as well. They both have this look of relentless intensity as they take the fight straight to Strucker who may have underestimated the two. Yet, he is holding his own as he brings all that he has to the two

The battle goes back and forth leading to Strucker to discreetly take out a small white powder. As Sarah seem to get the upper hand he throws the white powder just as she run towards/float towards him leading her to fall flat on her back after Strucker gets several shots in with the 3 handle nunchucks.

The battle is abruptly ended when Stricker grabs Sarah, takes out a gun from his boot, and aims it at Master Kojima. You the cut to sinister smirk on his face as he looks at Master Kojima leading him to direct his aim at Chuck. Master Kojima rushes to him as the trigger is pulled and stands between the bullet and Chuck causing him to immediately fall to the ground.

Cut to Sarah who has a horrified look as you hear a resounding laugh coming from Strucker. This causes her to close her eyes, open them, and unleash a butt whooping like you have never seen. When you look at her face there is no anger, just a look of a warrior who is tapping into her heart instead of thinking about her next move is.

The battle ends when Sarah gives a roundhouse kick with such force that it causes Strucker to crash through the shelves that hold the other weapons. All you see is his hands with Sarah in the background. After taking a few moments to compose herself she runs to the side of a seemingly dead Master Kojima
]

Sararh: Master!
[cut to Chuck who is holding up his head as tears start to well up in Sarah eyes. After a tense few seconds, you hear the voice of Master Kojima]
Master Kojima: Your tears are premature my child.
[cut to Chuck smiling and Casey just giving a smirk as he lays there on the ground trying to recuperate]
Sarah: You were shot.
[cut to Master Kojima feeling the hole where he got shot and then taking out the necklace Sarah gave him years ago with the bullet stuck on it]
Chuck: [laughs, looks at Sarah and then at Master Kojima as he pats him on the shoulder] You truly are a monk who is bulletproof.
[The scene ends with Team Chuck and Master Kojima catching their breathe after experiencing one of their toughest mission yet]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins at the inner entrance of the Odiyan Buddhist center where you see Chuck, Casey lugging the baggage as Sarah speaks with Master Kojima before she leaves. Sarah leads in the conversation]
Sarah: Its great to see you again master even if it was for a short time.
Master Kojima: Our paths will once again intersect.
Sarah: What are you going to do next?
Master Kojima: I think I’ll go on a vacation. Hawaii is nice this time of the year.
[cut to both of them laughing]
Sarah: [bowing]kale shoo *Goodbye (leaving)*
Master Kojima: [bowing back]Kale phe *Goodbye (staying)*
[cut to Sarah and Master Kojima exchanging hugs leading to Chuck walking up to see if she’s ready to go. As they leave, Chuck turns around and says something to Master Kojima]
Chuck: [looks at Sarah]Remind me to never get on your bad side.
Sarah: Maybe I will...maybe I won’t.
[cut to Chuck giving Sarah a look after hearing that statement then looks at Master Kojima]
Chuck:Oh…I think I solved the riddle about the hot dogs and hot dog buns.[cut to Master Kojima nodding and Sarah looking at Chuck] Its not a literal answer, but more metaphorical. So here goes… life doesn’t always work out according to plan…so be happy with what you got. Am I right? [looks at Kojima]
Master Kojima: Correct
Chuck: You know…even though my life didn’t go according to plan like I wanted it to…[looks at Sarah]…I’m glad that I’m standing here now with someone who makes me happy.
Sarah: [looks at Chuck smiling and says something only he can hear]I am too.
[You see Chuck smiling back at Sarah sharing a moment, which is inevitably broken up by a grunting beat up Casey who wants to get going so they can beat traffic. The episode ends with Chuck bowing to Master Kojima leading him and Sarah to walk towards Casey as they head out of the Odiyan Buddhist Center as Master Kojima watches on]

Chuck vs. The Distinguished Gentleman

[The episode begins 2 weeks after the incident with Sarah as you see a morning shot of scenic downtown Los Angeles and the cut to the façade of Casa Bartowski. You then cut to Casey’s apartment where you see Chuck, Casey, and Abe standing in front of the flat screen tv as they talk with General Beckman and C.I.A. Director Graham. Beckman leads the conversation]
Beckman: [looks at Casey]Agent Casey…do you have a progress report on Agent Walker?
Casey: Despite suffering a concussion that left her incapacitated for 2 days, she is doing fine. The doctors at the warehouse have ordered her to stay in bed at least a couple more days just to be on the safe side.
Graham: [smirks]I understand. I would rather have my top agent in the field fully recovered at 100% instead of sending her out there knowing she’s at risk of endangering not only herself, but her team as well.
Abe: [looks at Chuck]By the way son, what excuse did you give her boss about her absence.
Chuck: [looks at Abe]I told Scooter her spastic colon has been acting up and that her doctor told her to stay in bed so not to aggravate her condition more or it will become worse.
Beckman: [looks at Chuck]Good thinking Mr. Bartowski and while we’re on this particular subject maybe our doctors can take a look at her and treat her ailment. [cut to Casey trying not to laugh and Abe looking concerned]
Chuck: [looks at Beckman]No need to worry about Sarah General…[looks at Graham]she’s you’re best agent and she can overcome any obstacle…a spastic colon is nothing. Besides what’s more important, saving the world or treating a colon that’s spastic?
Graham: [nodding]Very well…there are far more important matters to attend to.
[cut to Chuck who has this look of relief on his face leading Casey to say something]
Casey: [looks at Chuck]Don’t get your panties in a twist Bartowski. Agent Walker will be back soon enough, but in the meantime you have me to protect you on any upcoming missions.
[Cut to Casey smirking as he his puts hand on Chuck’s shoulder leading Chuck to quickly glance at his dad with sort of I’m going to die sort of freak out look]
Graham: [serious look]Sorry Agent Casey…you and Mr. Bartowski are still benched until you can prove that you can work as a team. Once again you two will be doing surveillance for this upcoming mission.
Casey: [curious look] Who’s the target?
[cut to a picture coming up on screening leading Chuck to flashed leading him to see images of a penguin, auction, priceless artifacts, stockpile of weapons, militia, map of world, Sotheby’s, the name Warrick Baker, and the image of a penguin again]
Chuck: [snaps out of it]Warrick Baker…an antiquities dealer who uses Sotheby’s basically to pawn off rare and priceless artifacts he “acquires” from Uganda, Mexico, Argentina, etc. are a means of buying and then selling them in order to fund militia groups all over the world with stockpiles of weapons.
Abe: [serious tone]He’s dealing in some pretty bad businesses.
Graham:[looks at Abe]You are correct Mr. Carmichael. Since Agent Walker is currently recuperating and Agent Casey along with your son are benched for the time being its up to you Mr. Carmichael to try to get into Baker’s inner circle. Make some noise, but not so much noise you get yourself killed. You will be supplied with financial resources to bid on the stolen artifacts to keep with your cover and spend it wisely.
Casey: [looks at Abe]Yeah…spend it wisely unlike some people.[looks at Chuck]
[cut to Chuck giving the I’ll pay the 100k back look at Casey]
Beckman: You have your orders.[screen turns off]
[The scene ends with Chuck, Casey, and Abe who is going on his first solo mission are preparing for the mission, which is later tonight]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins with the interior shot of Buy More where it’s a relatively slow day as you Jeff and Lester talking amongst themselves, Morgan and Anna in the hole, Casey unloading a Beastmaster, Chuck walking around talking to customers, and you end with Abe at the info desk who is looking at a picture. In doing so, you hear echoes of two people speaking as Abe stares at it but it abruptly ends when Jeff and Lester walk up and stand behind him looking over his shoulder]
Lester: [looking at picture]So, whose babe?
Jeff: [grins]She’s hot
[cut to Abe looking at the two of them]
Abe: [holds up picture]If you must know boys…this is my wife…Chuck’s mom.
Lester: Oh…the one you ran out on.
[cut to Abe giving Lester a glaring look leading him to back up behind Jeff]
Jeff: [looks at initials]What does R.E.W. stand for?
Abe: [smiles]Rose Eleanor Walczak
[cut to Jeff and Lester seeing Chuck walk up leading them to scramble out of there]
Chuck: [looks at Jeff and Lester running away then looks at Abe]So you ready for your first solo assignment tonight?
Abe: [looks at Chuck]Ready as I’ll every be.
Chuck: [looks at picture]Is that mom? She was so beautiful?
Abe: Tell me something I don’t know son. I spent 13 years of my life with her and then have it all abruptly end with one phone call was…still is…considered the worst day of my life.
Chuck: [puts hand on shoulder]I know dad…you did it in order to protect your family.
Abe: [looks around]There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about her or the day that I told her that I didn’t love her. My two worlds collided and I haven’t been the same person since then. I wish I could tell her that what I said was to protect her, you, your sister and not by any means a betrayal of the heart.
Chuck:[looks at Abe]Well, there is a way to resolve that dad.
Abe: [looks at Chuck]I know son…I’m not ready yet to do that.
[The scene switches from that afternoon at Buy More to later that evening to Sotheby’s where you see Abe dressed up with an earwig in his ear mingling with the other potential buyers and outside in the van you see Chuck and Casey. Casey leads in the conversation]
Casey: [looks at Chuck]So how is your girlfriend Agent Walker doing?
Chuck: [looks straight ahead at the monitors]Fine…she’s getting a bit antsy though not being able to be in the field. [looks at Casey]Why do you care?
Casey: Can’t I be concerned about the welfare of another human being?
Chuck: [looks at Casey]Who are you and what have you done with the real Casey?
[The scene switches from the inside the van to inside Sotheby’s where Abe is dressed to impressed mingling with the crowd. He sees Baker leading him to inform the guys and just as he is about to walk up to introduce himself he is tapped on the shoulder from behind. When he turns around his eyes widen as he sees a woman from his past leading the woman to speak]
Dianna: [looks at Abe]Steven Carmichael…I thought that was you.
Abe: [looks at Dianna]Dianna Taubman?
[Cut to Casey and Chuck looking at each other as they see/hear a woman possibly compromise Abe’s cover. The scene ends with Abe expressing an astonished smile as he sees a woman from his past 25 years ago that he thought he would never see again]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins where it left off as a seemingly stunned Abe sees a woman he encountered from his past. You then see Chuck and Casey in the van across the street holding their breathe to see if they…meaning Casey will have to cause a distraction and extract him from inside the building]
Dianna: [smiles]Its Dianna Baker now.
Abe: Wow…you got married…congratulations. You’re not by chance related to Warrick Baker, the renowned iniquities dealer.
Dianna: Yes…he’s my son…[pats him on the shoulder]How about you…wife…kids?
[cut back to Chuck and Casey in the van. Casey talks to Abe in his earwig]
Casey: Carmichael…remember we’re here to do a job not hit up old girlfriends.
[cut back to Abe discreetly taking out his earwig and putting in his pocket leading Casey in the van to glare at /give a low growl to Chuck]
Chuck: What? At least he has a way in.
[Casey and Chuck who go back watching what is going between Abe and Dianna]
Abe: [looks at Dianna]I have to great kids, boy and a girl, who are all grown up. One is a doctor who is getting married soon to a doctor and the other is a manager of a store. As for my wife…we were married for 13 years until she past away.
Dianna: [solemn look on her face]I’m sorry to hear that…at least you have the memories that you shared with her.[cut to Abe who is cut deep by those very words but doesn’t show it in front of Dianna]So tell me…what have you been up to? Where have you been? The last time we last saw each other was 25 years ago in Venice, Italy. The atmosphere…the surroundings…that was a night I will never forget as long as I live.
Abe: [smiles]Yeah…I won’t either. Well to answer your question…I’ve been traveling the world and ended up hanging my hat in Fresno, California for awhile then moved to Los Angeles where I ultimately settled down. I work along side my son…who is my boss.[shrugs his shoulders]What can you do…you spend a lifetime telling your kids what to do next thing you know they tell you what to do.
[cut to Dianna laughing and then to a shot of Casey and Chuck in the van]
Casey: [smirks]I got to hand it to you Bartowski…your father is smooth. [cut to Chuck smiling and then Casey looking at Chuck]Are you sure you weren’t adopted?[cut back to Chuck as his smiles turns into a glare. You then see a shot of Dianna and Abe talking when Warrick Baker walks up]
Warrick: [kisses mom on the cheek]Hello mother.
Dianna: Warrick…is the auction about to start
Warrick: [looking back and then at Dianna]In about 5 minutes…[looks at Abe with curiosity]Are you going to introduce me to you friend?
Dianna: Oh where are my manners…Warrick, this is an old friend of mine Steven Carmichael. We met in Venice, Italy 25 years ago when I did semester at sea.
Abe: [shakes Warrick’s hand] Pleased to meet you…[looks at Dianna]…Dianna, I must say you raised a distinguished gentlemen in young Warrick here.
Dianna: [gives the proud mother towards her son]He got his looks from his father.
Abe: [looks around]Oh…is he here…can I meet him?
Warrick: [looks down and then at Abe]He died a couple of years ago in a car crash.
[cut to awkward moment shared by all three leading Dianna to break it up]
Dianna: [looks at watch]Well…on that note maybe we should head on into the auction.
[You then see Warrick and Abe escorting Dianna who is holding both their arms into the auction. The scene ends with a shot of Casey and Chuck breathing a sigh of relief as they dodged a bullet]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins the next morning at the warehouse where you see Sarah in the infirmary and Chuck sitting next to her having a short conversation. Sarah leads in the conversation]
Sarah: [grins]Well…like father like son.
Chuck: [looks at Sarah]What does that supposed to mean?
Sarah: I’m just saying you and your dad have a couple things in common?
Chuck: What? A great sense of humor and being able to quickly think/adapt to certain situations?
Sarah: I was thinking more along the lines of having a big heart and witty charm about you.
[cut to Chuck smiling at Sarah and then giving her a kiss]
Chuck: [looks at Sarah]Thanks…I do have a great sense of humor right?
[cut to Sarah just looking at Chuck as he say her nickname trying to get an answer. The scene switches for the infirmary at the warehouse to the inside of Buy More where you see Morgan and Abe at the info desk. Morgan begins the conversation]
Morgan: So how was the auction last night Mr. B. Did any ladies bid on you?
Abe: [gives Morgan a weird look]It wasn’t that kind of auction son. The one I went to deals in rare artifacts, but I did see an old friend who I haven’t seen in 25 years. She and I…as you kids call it…hooked up back in the day.
Morgan: Is she hot?
Abe: [looks at Morgan]She is a very beautiful and respectable woman.
Morgan: Okay…is she hot though?
[cut to Abe looking at Morgan and then walking away leading Chuck to walk up and asking him to meet him in his office. After a moment or two they’re in there leading to Chuck to being the conversation]
Chuck: So…how did it go last night?
Abe: Everything went off without a hitch. Warrick thinks I’m just an old boyfriend that his mom knew 25 years ago.
Chuck: [looks down] Good…good…listen dad about Dianna…
Abe: [interrupts Chuck]You want to know about Venice don’t you?
Chuck: Since you brought it up…what happened.
Abe: [looks at Chuck]First off…get your mind out of the gutter. It was nothing like that.
Chuck: What was it then?
Abe: [contemplative look]I was 6 months into being a member of section 8 and first my assignment was to track down a double agent. I wasn’t having much luck as the leads to his whereabouts were coming up short and out of frustration I ducked into a local bar to have a drink where I inevitably met her. We struck up a conversation and told her I was backpacking across Europe. From that moment on we spent time with each other as we sample the Italian cuisine, road the gondolas, and had long conversations till the sun went up. Unfortunately, she was only there a couple of days and she had to leave, be back on the boat, and head out to sea. That’s the last I saw of her until last night. You know…after seeing her after all these years…
Chuck: [interrupts Abe]]What are you trying to say dad?
Abe: [looks at Chuck]I’m just saying…if Dianna didn’t return to the boat 25 years ago and I didn’t go back to Washington things would be different.
[Cut to Chuck who has this bewildered/surprised look on his face as he finds out that he may not have existed if he married Dianna Baker]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins late afternoon at Casa Bartowski where you see Ellie in the kitchen and then you see Chuck walk with a beleaguered look on his face. Ellie leads in the conversation]
Ellie: [smiles]He little brother, dinner will be ready in 30 minutes.[cut to Chuck not saying a word and just sits on the couch leading her to walk over and see what’s wrong]Hey…what’s wrong…you know you can talk to me.
Chuck: [looks at Ellie]Sis, do you ever think about the possibility of not existing?
Ellie: [giving Chuck a weird look]Chuck…please tell me you’re not high?
Chuck: [quickly looks at Ellie]What…no…I’m talking about dad meeting an on old girlfriend at the auction he went to last night. We talked and said that if things we’re different he would have married her instead of mom.
Ellie: [comforting tone]But he didn’t…and as you can plainly see we exist. Besides…dad’s an exceptionally charming, witty guy and I’ve had several father/daughter talks with him lately and all he ever talks about is how he loved mom so much, how she would be proud of both of us, and that leaving her was the biggest mistake he ever made. Look at me[Cut to Chuck looking at Ellie]Have I ever steered you wrong before?
Chuck: [grins]Well, there was that one time as kids you told me that if I tied a towel around my neck I could fly like Superman.
Ellie: And you believed me?
Chuck: [grins]I was 6 years old…I believed anything my big sister told me.[cut to Ellie pushing Chuck and vice versa leading Chuck to say something]Thanks for listeningsis.
Ellie: Anytime…remember I’m always there for you whenever you need to talk to me. You don’t always have to go to Sarah you know.
[cut to Ellie walking back to the kitchen as you see Chuck with a look of reassurance on his face. The scene switches from Casa Bartowski to the Baker Estate where a dinner is being held with several prominent people attending. Again outside in a van are Casey and Chuck doing surveillance with Abe at the side of Dianna. They mingle and end up talking along on the second floor with Abe leading in the conversation]
Abe: [looks at the moon and then at Dianna]Have you ever thought what could have been 25 years in Venice?
Dianna: [looks straight ahead]I think about every now and then…[looks at Abe]you?
Abe: Not until I saw you last night…it brought back a flood of memories.
Dianna: Good one’s I hope?
Abe: If you’re talking about me falling off the Gondola trying to sing to you…so yeah I consider it one of the good ones.
[cut to a small silence happening leading to both of the sharing a moment. Abe goes in for a kiss when out of the corner of his eye spots Warrick talking with a couple shady looking dudes. He quickly backs off leading him to ask to use the facilities. Dianna gives him directions and off he goes knowingly trailing Warrick and his associates as informs Casey and Chuck. After a while they duck into an office away from the noise in the party leading Abe to open the door slightly/quietly so he can to eavesdrop on the conversation at hand. After several minutes he hears a sound of a gun being cocked behind him causing Abe to bend up. We he turns around with his hands up his eyes widen because there stands Dianna herself leading her to say something]
Dianna: [smirks]Sorry Steven…some memories are better left in the past.
[The scene ends with a look of disbelief on Abe’s face as he sees the woman he fell for 25 years ago pointing a gun at his face]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins in Warrick’s office as you see his two associates tie up Abe and then cut to Warrick looking at him with Dianna in the background]
Warrick: [looks down at Abe]Who are you? Who do you work for?
Abe: Nobody…I was looking for the bathroom and I stopped to tie my shoe in front of your office. You have nice carpets by the way.
[cut to Chuck in the van freaking out leading Casey to calm him down]
Casey: Relax Bartowski…we need more info before we can just rush in there.
[cut back to Warrick interrogating Abe]
Warrick: [gives a right hook to the face]You’re lying…I’m going to ask once again…who are you and who do you work for?
Abe: [looks at Warrick as he spits out blood]Before I answer your question…[looks at Dianna]What happened to the woman I met 25 years ago in Venice? Where did she go?
Dianna: [walks up]Money happened to me and lots of it. After I finished the semester at sea program and graduated I met…eventually married... Donald Baker whose family owns a chain of Baker’s Dozen restaurants. I got used to the extravagant lifestyle of having people wait on me hand and foot. The girl you met 25 years ago was idealistic fool who though she could make a difference with her life and so I help my seen smuggle rare artifacts out of certain countries with a little help from contacts within the region.
Abe: And you’re husband…did you love him?
Dianna: I loved his money and it was a shame when he died in a car crash several years ago. The police summed it up to him falling asleep at the wheel. Tragic…just tragic.
Abe: I can’t believe you. After all these years you turn out like this?
Dianna: [leans in and looks Abe with anger straight in her eyes]I wasn’t getting anywhere in life if I became a bleeding heart who puts her life on hold to help people around the world. I realized I should look out for the only person that matters most…me…and now my son.[cut to Dianna smiling at her son]
Abe: [looks at Dianna shaking her head]I feel sorry for you…from what I’ve learned is that one person can truly make a difference in the world and all it takes is just one person to not only care, but to also step up when things seem at their worst.
[Cut to Dianna rolling her eyes and then Warrick punching Abe in the gut]
Warrick: [rubbing his knuckles]Times up going down memory lane…who are you and who do you work for?
Abe: [winces and then looks at Warrick]All right…all right…I work for the government. I track artifacts that have been stolen from their countries. My job was to take you down, but when I saw Leona Hemsley over there I was sort of side tracked.
[cut to Dianna walking up an slapping him in the face]
Dianna: [turns around , walks towards the door, then looks at her son]Be a good boy and kill him won’t you.
Warrick: [sinister smile]Anything for you mother.
[You see Dianna walking out the door with a smile on her face and then cut to Warrick taking out his silencer. The scene ends with a close up of the silencer in Warrick’s hand and in the background is a tied up Abe awaiting his fate]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins where it left off as you see the close up of Warrick’s gun with Abe in the background. You then see him walk up, point the gun at his head, and as he is about to pull the trigger the double doors in his office leading to the terrace blow up causing glass to fly everywhere. You cut to everybody at the party startled, as well as Dianna to flee the scene but not before federal agents swoop in. Cut back to the office where in the midst of the smoke you see Casey rolling and dispatch the two associates, but when he gets up he’s greeted by Warrick who has a gun pointed at him]
Warrick: [looks at Casey]Who are you?
Casey: [smirks]Who me? I just dropped by to say that you left your headlights on
Warrick: Sorry…my headlights are off.
[cut to Warrick suddenly being knocked out after being hit with a paperweight on his table. When he falls you see its Chuck who immediately runs to and check on his dad]
Chuck: [looks at Abe as he’s untying him]You okay?
Abe: [looks at Chuck and then at Abe]Yeah…what took you guys so long?
Casey: I like to make a dramatic entrance…it keeps it suspenseful.
Abe: [stands up, looks down and then at Casey]You two handle this while I take care of some unfinished business.
Chuck: [looks at Abe walking off]Where are you going?
Abe: [stops to look at Chuck]I’m going to erase a once happy memory.
[The scene switches from inside Warrick’s office to the façade of the backyard where you see Dianna running out the back door. The camera then quickly pans to a close up through the windows of Abe booking it across the second floor. Cut back to Abe point of view where you see him immediately stop as he spots her running up the lawn towards the giant fountain. You then see Abe pick up a chair, throw it through the window, takes a few steps back, runs through the broken open window, jumps, grabs a chord that supports several decorative lights inevitably snapping it causing him to swing to the ground. He does a military roll and continues running after Dianna who is only a few yards away. After a few moments he catches up to her and tackles her to the ground. He motions as if he’s about to hit her, but pauses leading to get up and back away leading Dianna to lead in the conversation in front of the big fountain]
Dianna: [getting up and breathing hard]What…you still have feelings for me?
Abe: [bending down and catching his breathe]On the contrary my dear…up upchucked those feelings away on the second floor bathroom before I came out here.
Dianna: Do you want to fight me now?
Abe: [raises right eyebrow]Why so violent? I’m a man of peace…besides I live by a code of ethics.
Dianna: [arrogant smirk]What…saving damsels in distress, saving the innocent from evil and all that bunch of nonsense.
Abe: [bends down and looks at Dianna]As a matter of fact yes I do…[grins as he shrugging his shoulders]truthfully I haven’t run into may damsels in distress lately…just evil witches.
Dianna: [looks at Abe]What happens now…you going to hit me?
Abe:[looks down]No…I’m not going to hit you…[looks at Dianna]but she is.
Dianna: Who is?
Sarah: [turns Dianna around]Me
[cut to Sarah doing a roundhouse kick to Dianna’s face causing her to end up in the fountain]
Abe: [looking down at a soaked Dianna]Huh…I thought you were supposed to melt away when you got soaking wet. Hmmm….my mistake.
[The scene ends with Casey and Chuck running up as they see Abe walks away leaving Sarah taking Dianna Baker into custody]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins after closing hours in the home theatre room where you see Casey, Chuck, Sarah, and Abe talking with General Beckman and Director Graham. Beckman leads in the conversation]
Beckman: [looks at Abe]Well done Carmichael…how do you feel after your first solo mission in quite awhile.
Abe: [grins]As my future son-in-law would say awesome.
Chuck: [puts hand on shoulder]You did great dad.
Casey: [looks at Abe]I still think I can take you.
[cut to Sarah and Chuck looking at Casey]
Abe: [looking at Casey]Anytime…any place son. You know where I am.
Graham: [looks at Sarah]Good to see you back Agent Walker.
Sarah: Its nice to be back…I haven’t hit anybody in a while and kicking Dianna Baker in the face felt good.
[cut to Chuck looking at Sarah]
Beckman: Good job all around everyone. Mr. Bartowski…Agent Casey…I’m feeling somewhat generous so as of tonight you two are no longer benched.
[cut to everybody smiling at everybody except for Casey who just smirks. The scene switches from a late night at the Buy More Home Theatre room to the next monring Casa Bartowski where you see Ellie, Awesome, Sarah, Chuck, and Abe dressed up. Chuck leads the conversation as the song Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley is playing in the background]
Chuck: [looking at Abe]You ready
[cut to Abe nodding and after several views of Los Angeles you see Abe with the rest of the gang afar off walk up and start talking to someone]
Abe: [holding flowers]Hi…its me. It took me a while to get here…you wouldn’t believe the traffic.[laughs]I know…you hated my corny jokes and you said the only one who laughed at then was me. Anyways…I planned on having so much to say to you but…now that I am here I’m at a loss for words. I know the last time I spoke to you I told you that I didn’t love you anymore. I said that in order to protect you and the kids…it was truly hard on me saying it as it was most definitely hard on you hearing it. [cut to the camera backing up and you see a tombstone inevitably showing the name Rose Eleanor Walczak] That’s far from the truth because there is not a day that goes by that I still don’t think about you. As a matter of fact I see you every day when I look into our daughter’s face….she’s the spitting image of you.[starts crying]Rose...God I miss you…and I wish you were here beside me right now. I'm just half a man without you...you are and will always be my strength. [pauses to compose himself as he looks around and then walks up to put his hand on her tombstone]I just wanted to say and let you know…I love you...nothing will ever change that. I know we’ll be together somedaym but in the meantime, I’m going to fight the good fight with our son who has been given a gift to help save the world. Be proud of him...we raised an exceptional man who has a good woman by his side. [kisses his hand and then touches the tombstone again]Till we meet again.
[The episode ends with Abe putting down the flowers and then in slow motions turns around heading towards Ellie, Awesome, Chuck, and Sarah]

Chuck Vs. The Good Life

[The opening scene begins 2 days after the hospital fiasco with a shot of Los Angeles and then cut to the façade of Dayanara’s Bridal Boutique. Inside you not see Ellie in front of several mirrors getting fitted for her wedding gown and standing several feet away is her wedding planner Mary Fiore. From the looks of things she’s wearing a strapless, taffeta gown with beaded lace accent at the neck and hem line. The bodice also features asymmetric pleating from bustline to the dropped waist. The skirt is floor length and has a Chapel Length train. They’re looking over her dress when Ellie yells over to the dressing room]
Ellie: [looking at the dressing room doorway]Sarah…come on out and let’s see how you like in your bridesmaid dress.
Voice of Sarah: Just a second!
Mary: [looks at Ellie]You’re fiancé’s jaw is going to draw when he sees you walking down the isle.
[as she says that Sarah walks out leading Sarah and Mary to smile. Cut to a shot of Sarah’s feet as the camera pans up leading you to see Sarah in an elegant lavender halter tie Sarit A line Long prom/ bridesmaid/ evening Dress w/jewel d'ecor]
Ellie: [smiles]You look beautiful and I’m not only betting Chuck’s jaw is going to drop when he sees you, but he’s going to have only eyes for you.
[cut to Sarah rolling her eyes]
Mary: [looks at Sarah]I know that look…guy trouble?
Ellie: What did Chuck do now? Tell me, so I can give him the big sister speech on how to treat a lady.
Sarah: [smirks]I appreciate the offer, but I’m fine. Chuck just did something stupid and I’m angry at him for not telling me about it. He makes me so mad and gets me so frustrated sometimes I don’t know what to do.
Ellie: [looks at Sarah]So does Devon. I remember leaving the choice of choosing between a washer/dryer and a big screen tv for our anniversary gift up to him. Unfortunately, he chose the washer/dryer knowing I wanted the big screen tv.
Mary: [looks at Sarah]Ah the perils of young love. Mr. Fiore and I have been married for over 20 years and there have been times where he has gotten on my nerves as well.
Ellie: How did you deal with it?
Mary: [grinning]I give him the silent treatment for awhile and trust me it drives any man nuts [looks at Ellie and Sarah who are laughing]In all seriousness though…can you imagine your life living with anyone else who makes you happy?
[Just as she says that Sarah’s cell phone rings leading her to answer it. She tells Ellie and Mary she’s being called in for ‘work’. The scene inevitably switches as you see several shots of Santa Monica Pier and the Hollywood sign leading you to Casey’s apartment. Inside you see Chuck, Sarah, Abe and Casey in front of the screen as General Beckman and C.I.A. Director Graham talking to them. Beckman leads in the conversation]
Beckman: [serious look]Mr. Bartowski…Agent Casey…I hope two enjoyed your altercation with Maxwell Klinger because that will be the last one you will ever encounter. What were you two thinking?
[cut to Abe and Sarah looking on]
Chuck: Sorry General…it won’t happen again.
Graham: [serious tone]Sorry doesn’t cut it Mr. Bartowski. You are considered an important piece of government intelligence. You and Agent Casey not only recklessly put yourselves in danger you also have 4 elite assassin members attentions as well.
Casey: General, I was thinking…
Beckman: [interrupts Casey]Thinking isn’t what you’re trained to do Agent Casey…as you so eloquently put you break things. As of this very moment, you two are benched for the time being and as far as this upcoming mission goes…[looks at Sarah and Abe]…Agent Walker and Mr. Carmichael will be on point for this one and they will be briefed on the situation. You two will simply do surveillance and only surveillance. Do you understand?
Casey and Chuck: Yes General.
Beckman: You have your orders[screen turns off]
[You see a considerably defeated look on Chuck and Casey’s face as Sarah and Abe prepare for the mission at hand that Beckman has for the two of them]

[Commercial]

[The scene begins outside in the courtyard where you see Sarah walk outside of Casey’s apartment followed closely behind by Chuck. Chuck leads the conversation]
Chuck: Sarah…wait.[Sarah turns around and just looks at Chuck]How many times do I have to apologize. I know it was a bonehead thing to do on my part but I just wanted to prove something to myself and I know you’re think why in the world did I listen to Casey.[cut back to Sarah who is raising her right eyebrow leading him to point a finger in the air]That’s a good question…a very good question and the only answer I can come up with is…I’m a moron.[cut back to Sarah who has this look of agreement]Aren’t you going to talk to me…at least say something. Give me a sign…any sign…a grunt is good.
[cut to back to Sarah titling her heard to the side giving an angry smile, then turning around, and heading out of the apartment complex back to her apartment to get ready for the mission. Cut back to Chuck who is hanging his head at this point rubbing the back of his neck]
Casey: [walks up behind Chuck looking straight ahead inevitably startling him]Ouch…the silent treatment…[looks at Chuck]…Sucks to be you Bartowski.
Chuck: [cut to Chuck looking at Casey]Thanks Casey…you’re a big help.
Casey: [smirks and pats Chuck on the shoulder]No problem
[cut to Casey walking into his apartment leaving Chuck looking at the entrance of the apartment complex as he gives a big sigh. The scene gradually switches from the courtyard to inside the van later that evening where you see Chuck and Casey in the back adjusting the surveillance equipment. Abe leads the conversation]
Abe: [looks at Sarah]Are you ready? We’re here just to gather intel
Sarah: [looks at Abe]Yeah…at least I know YOU won’t do something stupid unlike someone I know.
Chuck: [defensive tone]What is does that supposed to mean? And if I’m not mistaken aren’t you giving me the silent treatment?
[cut to Sarah just staring at Chuck and then at Casey who is between the two of them]
Sarah: [looks at Casey]Tell the person who shall be nameless that it means what it means.
Casey: [looks at Chuck]You’re an idiot.
[cut to Abe in the front passenger seat with his right hand over his face]
Sarah: [looks at Casey]Tell him that what he did was totally out character even for him.
Casey: [looks at Chuck]You’re insensitive jerk
Chuck: What? She didn’t say that.
Casey: [smirks]I was reading between the lines.
Sarah: [looks at Casey] I had to deal with Bryce…
Chuck: [interrupts Sarah]Whoa...I am not Bryce...[looks at Casey]…Tell her I’m not Bryce.
Casey: [looks at Sarah]He’s not Bryce…he’s better looking than Chuck and doesn’t have hair that makes funny animal shapes.
Abe: [chimes in]All right you two..ding ding ding… go back to your corners. [points at Chuck and Sarah] Settle this later[looks at Sarah]We have a job to do…so get focused.
[cut to Sarah and Abe outside the van as Abe begins the conversation as their walking to their rendezvous point]
Abe: [looks at Sarah]What was all that about?
Sarah: [looks straight ahead and then at Abe]Chuck and I are never going to have a normal relationship. I just wish things were under completely different circumstances.

Sarah: [looks at Chuck and pats the spot beside her]Get in

Voice of Abby: He’s doing awesome mommy.
Chuck: [looks at Sarah]I’ll be back…if I’m not back in 5 minutes send reinforcements.
[cut to Sarah laughing and lying back in bed. After 30 minutes or so, Chuck comes back not only with breakfast but also a rose in a small white case. [Ellie points at picture of Abe and Sarah dancing together then dancing with her dad. Cut to several minutes of looking at the photo album seeing a group photo the Bridesmaides who are Ellie, Jill, Jayne, and Anna. Then a group photo of her family and Chuck’s family together. She then looks across the page leading her to spot someone]
Sarah: [looks at the pictures of the groomsmen and ushers leading her eyes to widen]Bryce?
Ellie: [looks at picture]Yeah…Bryce, Devon, John, Morgan, dad, Jeff, and Lester Interesting story behind that picture that Devon told me…just hours before the wedding Morgan misplaced the pants.
Sarah: [grins]You’re kidding me.
Ellie: [looks at Sarah]He said that all the guys in the room were basically wearing the top half of their tuxedos and no pants. So, imagine them wearing nothing at the bottom but just black socks and boxers. [cut to Sarah laughing]Thankfully they found them and everything else went off without a hitch after that. You…Evan…Abby are the most important people in his life and he would die for you three.

Casey: Hey rugrat…are you keeping your dad in line?
Abby: [smiling]Duh!
[cut to Sarah seeing an unfamiliar sight…a mellower, seemingly relaxed Casey]
Evan: Have you beat up any bad guys lately?
Casey: Not yet…the day still early.
Evan: [big grin]Awesome
Sarah: [looks at Casey]How is Jayne?
Casey: [stands up]Doing great…her bonsai tree business is flourishing. Plus, we’re expecting our 1st child…a girl…we’re going to name her Olivia Jayne.
Sarah: [smiles]Congratulations.[looks around in awe of the building]So…where’s my husband?
Casey: He’s in Research and Development with Morgan, Jeff, and Lester…come on I’ll take you to him.
[cut to Sarah and kids passing through security heading towards the elevators. Cut to several moments later you see from Sarah’s perspective the elevators open inevitably seeing an area filled with employees testing out games. Casey leads Sarah towards the office Chuck is in when she suddenly smells a familiar aroma of Sizzling Shrimp wafting in the air. Casey nods, gives Sarah a kiss on the cheek, waves bye to the kids, and then heads back down stairs. Sarah peeks through the doorway and sees/hears Chuck, Morgan, Jeff, and Lester with the backs turned away from her discussing the latest game they’ve developed. Looking at the desk off to the side she sees the sizzling shrimp with several cans of grape soda, and picture of Morgan and Anna with a little girl. You then see Sarah look at her kids motion them to be stealthy leading all 3 of the to hear the conversation between Chuck and Morgan in progress]
Morgan: [looking at Chuck]Dude…this is going to be the hottest selling game on the market by far. Dare I say it may even surpass Call of Duty.
Chuck: I don’t know Morg…you’ve been a big fan of Call of Duty since I’ve known you. Lester…Jeff what do you think?
Chuck: [looking up]Lester…Jeff?[Chuck sees Jeff and Lester at the window with binoculars giggling like little school boys. Chuck walks up behind them looking over their shoulder to see them looking at a well endowed female employee across the way inevitably startling them]Boys…what did I say about my policy on ogling your fellow employees, especially female ones?

Jeff: That’s a lame policy.
Sarah: [chimes in]Things never change.
[Cut to all 4 turning around leading Sarah to sick Evan and Abby on them. Evan tackles Morgan who spins around in his chair as he hugs him and Abby hugs her daddy’s leg]

Sarah: [leaning on the doorway tilting her head holding her gold locket around her neck] We have two great kids.
Chuck: [turns off his lap top and looks at Sarah]Yes we do…[looks at gold locket]…Do you remember when I first gave that two you?
Sarah: [looks at necklace]Yeah…on Valentine’s Day at the beach. You wore white, had a dozen roses in you hand, set up a nice dinner , and we danced to The Rose by Westlife.
[cut to Sarah opening the gold locket and seeing a picture of Chuck and her two kids. She reads the inscription inside the locket leading]
Chuck: My heart is yours…
Sarah: [finishes sentence]For all time
[cut to Sarah walking over the bed and getting in under the covers with her husband]
Chuck: [smiles]That was also the day I proposed to you. I was a nervous wreck that night because I was scrambling to get everything done. Thankfully, I had a little help with Ellie cooking dinner for me and Devon hooked me up with those tiki torches.
Sarah: [gives her all-too-familiar-look]It was very romantic.
Chuck: You know…I talked to your dad and asked for permission to ask you to marry me.
Sarah: [looking at her wedding ring and then at Chuck] I’m glad that he did.
Chuck: I was afraid you were going to say no. I had this whole scenario in my head that you would say no and then I would have to end up being roomies with Morgan who coincidentally had a bet with Casey that you would say no. Morgan lost.
Sarah: [smiles as she puts her finger in front of Chuck’s mouth]You’re babbling
Chuck: No I’m not.
Sarah: [gives Chuck a look]Yes, you are. Whenever you start babbling you tend to have look on your face just as if your about to freak out.
[cut to Chuck smiling at Sarah]
Chuck: [looks down and then at Sarah]You know me so well…I seem to always do that when I’m nervous.
Sarah: Why are you nervous?
Chuck: You still give me butterflies after 6 years of marriage. You still look as beautiful as ever the first day I met you when you transferred to Stanford from Georgetown University in D.C. and you looked so lost trying to find your way to class. I have to hand it to Bryce…he was the one responsible for us to being together.
Sarah: [grins]Thank you.
Chuck: For what?
Sarah: [looks into his eyes]For giving me a life I’ve dreamed of having.
[She kisses him and inevitably one thing leads to another, which you don’t see as the camera pans away. Several moments later you look at the alarm clock and it reads 2am. Move forward you see Sarah fixing herself some tea when she has this look on her face that something is not quite right leading her to grab a knife leading her to quickly spin around to see who else…Bryce. [Commercial]

[The scene begins with Sarah in a defensive position wielding a knife as she sees Bryce right before her eyes. Bryce leads in the conversation]
Bryce: How is it going Sarah?
Sarah: [serious look]What are you doing here Bryce? Ellie said you, Jill, and your two kids were in Lake Tahoe on vacation.
Bryce: I’m not actually here Sarah.
Sarah: You’re not making any sense?
Bryce: Sarah…this whole situation isn’t real. This is all in your mind.
Sarah: [pointing knife at Bryce]You’re lying…you were always good at that.
Bryce: What is the last thing you remember before waking up in bed 2 days ago?
Sarah: I was on a mission with Abe and things went bad. There was an explosion and that’s all I remember.
Bryce: I’m not lying. I represent a part of you that you haven’t dealt with. A part of you that has suppressed much of what you secretly wanted out of life. Come on Sarah you and I both know the job is always came first. It’s basically all you have and all you’ve known since you’ve joined the C.I.A. Everything that you’ve been feeling has come up because you’ve compromised yourself. Do you think a relationship with Chuck, kids, or even having friends for that matter is going to make you happy.
Sarah: What are you talking about…I am happy.
Bryce: You’re wrong…I know you. Unlike Chuck…I know everything you’ve done in your past and no matter how much you want to forget about it you can’t. It’s always going to haunt you. That’s our job…we deal it…and then move on as if nothing had happened.. It doesn’t change the fact who are inside. [laughs] Somewhere along the line…that killer instinct within you started to fade..
Sarah: [interrupts Bryce]I still have the killer instinct…BUT
Bryce: But what? Is it love? Are you in love with Chuck?
Sarah: What if I am…for the first time in my life…I have someone in my life who see me and accepts me for the person I am.
Byrce: Please…I know you better than you know yourself.
Sarah: Do you really? Do know the real me? Do you even know what type of topping I don’t like on pizza?
Bryce: That question doesn’t really have any relevance at this point.
Sarah: It is relevant to me and Chuck is a better than man than you’ll ever be.
Bryce: We’ll see. You said it yourself…as long as Chuck has The Beta Intersect in his head…you two will have a normal relationship. This whole scenario…[looks around and picks up Evan’s juice bottle]…this life you’ve always wanted… its just a way of your subconscious mind playing tricks on you.
Sarah: My mind is not playing tricks on me?
Bryce: Then I hope you can live with the consequences of your actions.[starts to walk away looking straight ahead and then suddenly stops]Before I go…do me one small favor.
Sarah: What is it?
Bryce: [looks at Sarah]Die[points gun at Sarah and shoots her]
[The scene ends with Sarah waking up to the sound of not only the alarm, but also Chuck encouraging her out of bed as well]

Abe: [raising glass and yells aloud]To Chuck and Bryce...without them all this would have never happened.

[cut to Sarah balling in tears causing everybody else to cry]
Sarah: [stands up and walks over to Sarah]Can I see him?
Ellie: [wiping her face]Yeah…give them 10 minutes and you can go see him.

Chuck: [waking up and looking at Sarah]Hey…how are you doing?
[cut to Sarah having a relieved look on her face as she gives a smile to Chuck. The scene ends with Chuck smiling back as he is happy to see Sarah conscious and verbally talking]

[Commercial]

Casey: [looks at Sarah]That must have been one crazy dream Walker. Me and Jayne having a kid…we’ve only known each other for a month and a half.
Sarah: Yeah…its was so real…so vivid. How long was I out?
Chuck: 2 days
Casey: Lucky we got to you and Carmichael in time Walker. I would rather want my partner alive than dead.
Sarah: [looks at Casey]That’s sweet casey.
Casey: [looks at Sarah]Besides…if you died..[looks at Chuck]…who would keep Bartowski in line?
[cut to Chuck looking at Casey]
Abe: [puts hand on Sarah’s shoulder] At least you’re doing all right kiddo…that’s the important thing.
Casey: I’ll go inform General Beckman and Director Graham you’re doing okay.
[cut to Casey leaving the room leading Abe to do the same so he can leave Chuck and Sarah alone]
Chuck: [looks at Sarah]I know you’re giving the silent treatment…but I just wanted you to…
Sarah: [interrupts Chuck] Shut up and listen to me.[cut to Chuck going completely quiet]I know our relationship is complicated with you having the beta intersect in your hand and me being your handler. I came to a realization and I realized that I love you and want to have a family with you.
Chuck: Really!?
Sarah: Didn’t I say to shut up and listen to me.
Chuck: Okay
Sarah: Anyways…I know I never said those three words to you because the fact of the matter is I was scared to. Scared of my feelings for you to not truly tell you how I feel, but not anymore. I love you and even though we can’t officially be together I just wanted you to know how much I truly care about and want to be with you. About Bryce...he's my past...you're my futre.[cut to Chuck looking at her]Go ahead and say something.
[Chuck doesn’t say anything at all; instead he stand up, leans in inevitably looks into Sarah’s eyes and gives her a kiss]
Chuck: [stops kissing Sarah]Does this mean you forgive me?
[The episode ends with the camera pans back as you see Sarah smile at him and then going back to kissing Chuck]
